The solid carbide end mills of the TINox series are available ex stock with different corner radii. In order to guarantee maximum work depths, the shanks are relieved from the end of the cutting edge. The specially roughened tool shank surfaces will make sure that the tools cannot be „pulled out“ of the holders.
FRANKEN milling tools for the dental industry
FRANKEN, one of the leading manufacturers of high-performance milling tools, has enlarged their tool programme with a selection of tools for the dental industry.
The tools are designed to perfection for the machining of zirconium oxide, PMMA/wax and cobalt/titanium. The solid carbide ball-nose and torus cutters, available in a diameter range from 1 - 3 mm, are coated with TiAlN, CrN or diamond, depending on the specific application. These tools will be available ex stock from September, 2009.
FRANKEN Duplex milling cutters reduce costs!
The new Duplex milling cutter permits operations like pocket and slot milling (2D) as well as complex 3D machining like copy and high-feed milling with just one tool. With this, the Duplex series helps to reduce the number of tool places in your machine. In the face area, the Duplex cutter has a ground double-radius geometry which permits highest feeds with matching axial depth-of-cut values.

The Multi-Jet-Cut with ball nose opens up new possibilities in 2,5D and 3D machining. This tool permits not only the production of dies or molds but also line-by-line strategies in roughing jobs.

FRANKEN milling cutter MULTI-Jet-Cut IKZ
now also with corner radius
The Multi-Jet-Cut IKZ with corner radius is the alternative to the Multi-Jet-Cut IKZ. The corner radius serves for the production of radii for minimizing the danger of cracks in mechanically stressed components on one hand, on the other hand it stabilizes and protects the cutting edge corner against chipping.

FRANKEN Alu-Jet-Cut end mills
The Alu-Jet-Cut end mills were developed especially for HPC-volume machining in aluminium materials. Due to highest surface qualities on all working surfaces and due to a special micro geometry, in connection with a tough carbide substrate, highest machining volumes can be realised with a great degree of process safety. These end mills are available in a diameter range from 10 to 25 mm with the most important corner radii.
FRANKEN Micro-Line end mills
The Micro end mills are available as end mills, ball-nose and torus end mills in solid carbide
K5-20FH, un-coated and TiAlN-coated. The diameter range is 0,2 - 2 mm for the end mills and ball-nose end mills, and 0,5 - 2 mm for the torus end mills. The Micro-Line end mills are available in three lengths, short (2.2 x d), long (5 x d) and extra long (10 x d).
FRANKEN TIME-S4-Cut, highest efficiency with 4 cutting edges
TIME-S4-Cut is a newly developed high-feed milling cutter. The square insert design provides 4 cutting edges for reducing the costs per cutting edge. This modern high-performance milling cutter will increase the productivity of your machining center.
With sufficiently stable conditions, feed speeds of 6000 mm/min and more can be realized. Cutting speeds of 140 to 260 m/min and feed-per-tooth values of up to 2,5 mm are realistic working conditions.
The standard carbide grade used for these tools, PE6, is primarily suitable for the machining of low- and high-alloyed steels. All cutters of this series are provided with internal coolant supply and can be ordered from stock as screw-in and face milling cutters.
